Blue Murder is the debut album by the hard rock band Blue Murder, released in 1989. It reached on the Billboard 200 in June 1989. The back of the album states that it is dedicated to Phil Lynott. Many of the lyrical themes contained in the album echo those of Thin Lizzy as well. All songs written by John Sykes, except where indicated.

Blue Murder were an English hard rock band, founded by ex-Whitesnake, Tygers of Pan Tang and Thin Lizzy guitarist John Sykes. Blue Murder was formed by John Sykes in 1988. As he was largely elemental for the success of Whitesnake's g self-titled album, their label Geffen signed a record deal with Sykes following his dismissal from the band.

Blue Murder is the debut album by the hard rock band Blue Murder, released in 1989. Initial pressings of this reissue stated that it included an extra song called "Cold Harbor" on the package, but this is simply an error on the packaging; no such song exists or appears on the reissue of the album. Later pressings corrected this, removing any reference to the song.
