Even if you've grown tired of boshing club oriented progressive euro trance, you may very well find yourself liking the title track 'Connective'. Even more so than other Nu NRG releases, 'Connective' seems to have the hand of PVD running all over it in a manner similar to 'Forbidden Fruit' (BT & Paul Van Dyke remix). The strings and keys are so warm and emotional that they could melt the hardest of hearts, and the beats are tight and driven just as any good trance tune deserves. This is matched by tweaking angular high frequency synth lines that just about hint at acid. The real clinch though is the highly infectious fairytale-like melody running right through it. The result is a tune that will stand out a mile from its peers on any dancefloor and is surprisingly poignant for home listening.
