Hooded Justice, whose real identity is never revealed, was the first ever masked adventurer and the lead influence for Nite Owl (Hollis Mason) and the rest of the early costumed heroes. He wore a hood and a noose, had the body of a wrestler, and was a charter member of the Minutemen.

Cross (also known as † and Justice) is the debut studio album by French electronic music duo Justice. It was first released digitally on 11 June 2007, and later on 18 June through Ed Banger Records and Because Music in most countries and Vice Records in the United States. Recorded during 2005 and 2006 in Paris, Cross was aimed to be an "opera-disco" album. It features many samples and "microsamples" throughout, with about 400 albums being used as sampled material.

Hooded Justice is the first costumed superhero to appear in the Watchmen universe. He is also the most mysterious. Hooded Justice's origin is never revealed. There are many hints throughout the book that he is in fact Rolf Muller. None of the characters in Watchmen ever saw his face with the exception of Captain Metropolis. He was a member of the Minutemen. Tension soon grew in the group after Edward Blake (The Comedian) attempted to rape Sally Jupiter (Silk Spectre). The rape attempt was prevented by Hooded Justice and in his anger he attacked The Comedian

Hooded Justice’s example inspired other costumed adventurers, and in 1939 two of them, Captain Metropolis and Silk Spectre, formed a group known as the Minutemen. Hooded Justice apparently hooked up with Captain Metropolis shortly after the Minutemen formed. On the advice of the group’s agent, Laurence Schexnayder, Silk Spectre (aka Sally Jupiter) pretended to be Justice’s girlfriend. This ruse worked so well that it seems to have fooled most everyone else on the team.
