The result is this great album from 1982 titled Les Tueurs de La Lune de Miel/The Honeymoon Killers. Depending on where you live I guess). It’s an album with an eighties pop sensibility but heavily infused with avant-rock sounds like Etron Fou Leloublan or New York noise bands from the era like Arto Lindsay and the Ambitious Lovers or Elliot Sharp. Most eighties pop albums sound dated to my ears, but this one definitely belongs to the list of albums that give that era a good name.
