Stop Making Sense is a 1984 American concert film featuring a live performance by Talking Heads. Directed by Jonathan Demme, it was shot over the course of four nights at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December 1983, as the group was touring to promote their new album Speaking in Tongues. The film is the first made entirely using digital audio techniques.

Stop Making Sense is a music live recording by TALKING HEADS (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1984 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. After the first shaky studio album from the band, Talking Heads didn't waste any time and decided to document their excellent live show for everyone to enjoy. The final result definitely speaks for itself and there is no denying that the band performed, what I consider to be, one of my top ten live video recorded stage shows that only surpass by classics like King Crimson's deja VROOM and Director's Cut version of Pink Floyd's Live In Pompeii, among others.

Stop Making Sense is a live album that stands the test of time by doing exactly what a live album is designed to do: recreate the live experience. It’s still easy to groove along with Weymouth’s funky bass beat and Byrne’s wailing voice. The transition from the studio to the live set is resilient and surprisingly varied.
