This group of recordings has been kicking around for decades in several different covers and formats - there's even one reissue, on the Palace label, that doesn't mention Yodeling Slim Clark anywhere on it on the outside, and buried so deeply on the record label itself that you could miss him. The record itself is comprised of a dozen traditional pieces, all done in the inimitable style of the renowned East Coast-born western yodeler. What's more, even seemingly familiar material, such as "The Gal I Left Behind Me" (which is practically worth the price of the album by itself), blossoms in all kinds of unexpected (and delightful) directions, especially in Clark's spirited renditions. This record is a keeper for fans of the western side of country & western, or of great yodeling.
Lyrics to "I Say A Little Prayer" song by Aretha Franklin: The moment I wake up Before I put on my makeup I say a little prayer for you While combing my hair . .My darling, believe me (Believe me) For me there is no one but you Please love me too (Answer my prayer) And I'm in love with you (Answer my prayer) Answer my prayer now, babe (Answer my prayer).
Oh, My Darling Clementine. In a cavern, In a canyon, Excavating for a mine, Dwelt a miner forty-niner, And his daughter Clementine. Chorus: Oh my darling, Oh my darling, Oh my darling Clementine, You are lost and gone forever, Dreadful sorry Clementine. Light she was and like a fairy, And her shoes were number nine; Herring boxes, without topses, Sandals were for Clementine. In my dreams she still doth haunt me, Robed in garments soaked in brine. Though in life I used to hug her, Now she's dead, I'll draw the line. How I missed her, how I missed her How I missed my Clementine. So I kissed her little sister, And forgot my Clementine. Now you Boy Scouts, there's a moral To this little tale of mine. Artificial respiration, Would have saved my Clementine. Shop Related Products.
