Matthew Florianz is a Dutch ambient composer. His works range between different styles of ambient, working together with other composers including Erik t'Sas & Joris de Man among others, with the "classical ambient" feel all present. In 2008 Florianz released his latest piece, Maalbeek, taking us on an hour long epic journey into the shaded side of ambient music.

His music evokes an outdoor feel, his album shifting between a state of illusive imagination and existent images. Matthew's first musical experiments (1994) where played to an audience of friends and relatives most of it was practice; finding style, tone and even the right notes, it was really rather derivative of the music I liked back then a necessary learning to find out what kind of music (if any) . .
