Redirected from Restarter (album)). Restarter is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Torche. The album was released on February 24, 2015, through Relapse Records. To promote the release of the album, Relapse worked with the band to create a 16-bit video game called "Torche vs Robots: Annihilation Affair".

Restarter 11. Harmonslaught (Bonus Track) 12. Rock 'N' Roll Mantasy (Bonus Track) Heavy rock titans TORCHE make their Relapse debut with the thunderous 'Restarter', a ten song triumph of an album. TORCHE rose to popularity merging huge infectious melodies with downtuned, crushing sludgey rock and on 'Restarter' they've perfected the marriage. This is a record that is simultaneously hum-able and heavy that will just as easily appeal to fans of Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth as it will Melvins and High On Fire-heads. Includes unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Purchasable with gift card.

Torche is the self-titled debut album from the Miami-based metal band Torche. The album was released through Robotic Empire on March 8, 2005. It was also reissued on June 18, 2007 through Rock Action Records with a bonus track and alternate artwork. The opening track, "Charge of the Brown Recluse", is a new version of the song that was released before by the band Floor, which Steve Brooks and Juan Montoya were members, and appears in the box-set Below & Beyond. Charge of the Brown Recluse" – 3:01.

Restarter is Torche's first album since Brooks reunited Floor, the band's predecessor in terms of style and personnel. It seems as if, in rebooting that old act, he remembered the root of the formula for both: Write catchy songs and play them at undeniable volumes, no gimmicks or flourishes necessary. On Restarter, that precept again takes the lead, and Torche have made their most compelling record since Meanderthal.

Torche’s 2005 self-titled first album, released via the indie label Robotic Empire, played like a grab bag of experimentation. On one hand, there were songs that could’ve been confused with leftovers from Floor, Brooks’ previous, more straight-ahead drone-metal band, full of dirty, repetitive riffs. Restarter arrives with more than a bit of pressure - probably intensified by the band’s equally punishing recording methods. Constant touring at mid-level clubs doesn’t leave much time for writing, and when they’re not on tour, Torche’s members form a wide geographical axis - so the new songs came together during an intense two-week incubation period in Miami.
