Why swan road ? May be pig road or dog road is better? He-he. Or may be I’m so ignorant and don’t understand their high ideas? But when I’ve listened to this album I was even more disappointed in their music than in title of the album. I don’t like nowadays fashion on depressive and melancholic music shit. Such music is more suitable for menstrual girls, but not for aggressive people with strong will which metalists must be in my opinion.

The Swan Road" continues in the spirit of " Autumn Aurora " with the band’s trademark Slavonic Pagan Metal sound, which embraces epic folk-influenced melodies and creates cinematic and luxuriant atmospheres charged with melancholy.

The Swan Road (Ukrainian Лебединий Шлях, Lebedynyy Shlyakh) is the third album by the Ukrainian black metal band Drudkh, originally released on March 13th, 2005 through Supernal Music. As with all of Drudkh's Supernal releases, it was later remastered and reissued with new artwork through Season of Mist's Underground Activists label, due to issues with royalty payments from Supernal.

The Swan Road often feels like a bit of a forgotten Drudkh album, no doubt due to being sandwiched between the band's two crowning achievements. So how does Swan Road stack up? Well, it is better than a fair chunk of their discography but it can't really compete with the heavy hitters. It doesn't begin to capture the same wondrous atmosphere of Autumn Aurora and a lot of the ideas here would be greatly improved upon on Blood in our Wells. Nevertheless, Swan Road is a solid album and perhaps the growing pains on display here were necessary to achieve what they did on Blood.
