Our Endless Numbered Days. 2004 Sub Pop. On Your Wings. Sunset Soon Forgotten. Our Endless Numbered Days. I love Iron and Wine, especially this album, which I have been intimately familiar with for many years. I recently purchased the vinyl pressing from Sub-Pop, and I must say, the quality of the pressing is pretty awful. Unfortunately, Our Endless Numbered Days doesn't have any inserts, and the cardboard sleeve for the record is extremely thin and cheap. The record sleeve is a cheap, plain white paper sleeve with no artwork. Maybe these complaints are a non-issue to most, which is why I wouldn't dare take off more than 1 start for them.

com/playlist?list PL743BDE41088A37BE. There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days Autumn blew the quilt right off the perfect bed she made And she's chosen to believe in the hymns her mother sings Sunday pulls its children from the piles of fallen leaves.

On Our Endless Numbered Days, the follow-up to 2002's stunningly good Creek Drank the Cradle, the sound of Iron & Wine has changed but the song remains the same. No longer does Sam Beam record his intimate songs in the intimate surroundings of his home. Instead he has made the jump to the recording studio. A definite plus to recording in a studio and enlisting the help of outside musicians is that there is much more variety to the album and there are lots of small production touches that liven things up like the Native American chants at the close of "Cinder and Smoke," the pedal steel guitar on "Sunset Soon Forgotten," and the drums and tambourine on. the bluesy "Free Until They Cut Me Down.

Our Endless Numbered Days is the second full-length album from Iron & Wine. Released on March 23, 2004, it was the first non-solo effort by Sam Beam under his Iron & Wine moniker, and was recorded in a professional studio, giving it a more polished and produced sound than The Creek Drank The Cradle, which Beam recorded at home. Although it added band members other than Sam Beam, the focus was still on acoustic instruments.

Great pressing, especially for the price. Super quiet wax, engaging vocals, clean sounding guitar, etc.

Pressing is excellent--heavy vinyl, quiet in the quiet parts, very clear-sounding. Anti-static archival inner sleeve included. Download can be gotten in MP3, ALAC, or FLAC. Bonus tracks included with download. Overall another superb product from Sub Pop.

This is in my top 5 albums of all time. I've only just got a copy on vinyl after years of playing it on CD and Wow!!, it's taken the listening experience and enjoyment to a whole new level. Fantastic and my favourite Iron & Wine album.
