When the bandleader Guy Lombardo recorded it with his Royal Canadians in 1934, the song was a huge hit. In 1946 Lombardo successfully revived it with a Boogie Woogie arrangement accompanied by the Andrews Sisters, which sold a million copies. Perry Como also successfully recorded it the same year, but the song fell out of favor in the Rock era, and no version has made the Top 40 since the 1955 creation of the Hot 100 chart.
