This song is by Gene Watson and appears on the album At Last (1991). At last, my love has come alongMy lonely days are overAnd life is like a song, Whoa. At last, the skies above are blueMy heart was wrapped up in cloverThe night I looked at you. I found a dream that I could speak toA dream that I can call my ownI found a thrill to press my cheek toA thrill that I have never known. Oh, you smiled, you smiled Oh, and then the spell was castAnd here we are in heavenFor you are mine at last.
Two songs charted from this album. They were released in 1991 on this album only. At last" and "You can't take it with you when you go" are well delivered, even though neither song had much chart success and failed to make it into the top half of the top 100. The other 8 cuts are the usual Watson style, and delivery,- always good. Seems after a certain point all the 'old timers' have a rough row to hoe. Still this is a typically good album of Watson's music.
