There were various popular female singers in the 70's. For example,there was Helen Reddy, Karen Carpenter and Linda Ronstadt. Country music singers of the 1950's included:. 7th-Florence And The Machine Even from her first album, everybody loved and accepted her. she has won a number of awards and has been nominated for a huge amount too. 8th-Adele Is an amaizing british singer. Not sure if she stopped but still haven't herd new songs!

Singers & Songwriters: The 1960's. The inclusion of this particular Dylan track is hard to understand, unless it's the only one the compilers were allowed to use, which may well have been the case, since a folk-rock number such as "Like a Rolling Stone" clearly would have fit the bill better. One can easily cite other obvious omissions. There's nothing by Simon & Garfunkel, whose "The Sounds of Silence" among other songs would have fit perfectly, nothing from Peter, Paul & Mary or Crosby, Stills & Nash. Though there are socially conscious songs like Janis Ian's "Society's Child (Baby I've Been Thinking)," the protest element of folk-rock is underrepresented.

The 1950s featured the rise of blonde bombshells and their beautiful brunette counterparts. Musicals and romantic comedies were still wildly popular throughout the decade, but suspense thrillers and dark dramas were also bringing in money at the box office  . Other great actresses from the 1950s include Shirley MacLaine, Jayne Mansfield and Dorothy Dandridge.
