The origin of God Is God is as a semi-parody of Juno Reactor’s song of the same name, which includes samples of Charlton Heston in The Ten Commandments, in which the main character (Moses) declares the plagues and wrath that will come form God. Laibach expands on that concept by using their own verses based on that you will see motif. As it happens, the Juno Reactor song this is based on was a response to Laibach’s previous hit Life Is Life/Opus Dei.
