Led by Jamie Myers of Hammers of Misfortune and Wolves in the Throne Room, Ye Are Gods is an in-depth examination of the Process Church of the Final Judgment; a little known 60s apocalyptic religious movement that operated as a shadowy sideshow to the flower power progressiveness of the hippie subculture. Ye Are Gods lovingly takes the actual ritual text and liturgy from this obscure faith which believed in a final, universe-ending unification of Christ and Satan and melds it into an unsettling, unusual aural experience

Complete your Sabbath Assembly collection. Ye Are Gods" sounds like a Black & White Mass, with spoken words passages and eary dreadful minimalist doomrock songs proclaiming the love for both God and Satan. Sabbath Assembly is still doing a great job in creating a dark spiritual mood. One starts really to question if this is still some kind of charade or if Sabbath Assembly and their worship of the Process Church is the real deal. Musically this is a more mature, richer record than "Restored To One", and the artwork and the booklet are top notch. I'm looking forward to seeing them live next year.

For the second time, Sabbath Assembly use the teachings of 1960s cult The Process Church Of The Final Judgement to fashion a strange, slightly disturbing album. The Process Church felt that God and Satan will one day reunite to judge humanity, and this album sets some of their genuine prayers to a music that’s psychedelic, folky and throbbing with grace and charm. Original church member Timothy Wyllie guests here, as does Jamie Myers from Wolves In The Throne Room.
