The Rembrandts' self-titled commercial debut album is a low-key 90's gem. Simplistic yet catchy, the romantic ballads (Just the Way It Is Baby, Goodnight) and humorous (New King, If Not For Misery) songs are still a fun listen for a lighthearted afternoon. Though less complex than the later ". album of "Friends" theme song fame, this album is actually more enjoyable for it's fresh-faced honesty and lack of pretense. These are two guys having fun making music, and it shows.
