Calling this record a killer is a little too obvious, but don't go saying that it "sucks" either! I recall that I first happened upon this one in the lower Caribbean circa '93 and was intrigued enough by the novelty of it to grab it. At the time I didn't know that it was a popular import in the states during the disco wave. This might be one of the most successful campy disco records of all time; whereas the vampire theme was not unique to this disco record, the story played out in the record probably is. The vampire and the lady he turns into a vampire have a spoken back and forth section that's written about as well as a typical Italo-disco track-- that is, it's marvelous in its lack of familiarity with the English language. There's no lack of sexual buildup in the dialogue ("get out of me!" the woman shrieks at one point, referring to... teeth?) and combined with female harmony vocals, the track is dramatic and silly all at once. A classic disco sound telling a story not unlike Alec Costandinos but more over the top.
