This record was released when Benny Hill was at the absolute height of his career, with one of his shows (from March of 1971) having been seen by more than 21 million viewers. The LP has been characterized in certain corners as a comedy equivalent of The Beatles' Abbey Road album of two years before, with new recordings of his songs (recorded at Abbey Road Studios, incidentally) from over the first two years of his highly profitable run with Thames Television on Side 1 (the "Music"), and the audio of his verbal-based bits. This album is considered by many Hill fans to be the high point of his on-and-off recording career.
