Bitter Sweet Kicks are a band spawned from the dirty sunshine gutter of St. Kilda and have been working hard around Melbourne's most well known pubs and venues ever since. Raw, splintering riffs, catchy as hell bass lines, belting drums and howling vocals come together in a mixture of ‘proto punk’ and old school bluesy rock to create a uniquely powerful sound that can only be described as real.

Bitter Sweet Kicks have been coined as S. ilda's best kept secret. Slogging it out for over 7 years in the underground rock n roll scene the Kicks have risen to a wider much bigger audience since then.

Bitter Sweet Kicks are a self-described "dirty rock n' roll" band from Melbourne, Australia. Influenced by proto-punk (The Stooges) and old school rock music (New York Dolls, AC/DC), their sound is a mix of raucous rock rhythms and rollin' guitar licks. Helmed by the gravelly rasp of Jack Davies (vocals), the rest of the band is anchored by Johnny Kicks (Bass Guitar), Chris Taranto (Guitar), Brendan Charlie (Guitar) and Joe Cunliffe (Drums).
