Push the Feeling On" was then remixed by Marc Kinchen, an American record producer, who essentially reinvented the track. His version, entitled 'The Dub of Doom Mix', first became known in 1993, and as such, it became heavily played on the underground scene for two years in the UK, eventually reaching No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1994 when it was commercially released. In 2011, the first single from the second album, "Cryin' Over You", was released in the United Kingdom and Germany. It features vocals from British singer Taio Cruz. In 2018, John Reid released an EP titled The Nightcrawlers Soul Sessions.

Picked this up for a £1 new in 1992 and kinda liked it because of the baseline but the horn sound and vocal loop both grated after a few plays so I flogged it and got my pound back. Around the same time picked up Happyhead Digital Love Thing also mixed by MK. That was much more of keeper.

Loved this in 92 ( mk mix) then all the general public discovered it and it lost its appeal. Still a classic but dj’s at the time wanted this to stay underground and not on top of the pops (not sure if it did but wouldn’t surprise me)

Huge tune, Massive Hacienda Tune.It was all about the "Dub Of Doom" mix, its perfection. All I can really say / add to other peoples comments is have a listen & that this track still sounds great today. Play it loud !!!

I'm still diggin' it. The original 12" mixes from MK were killin' it in 1992. Over the years I found the original to be a classic underrated club tune.

"Their lives again...err en...their life's a pool of sperm"...WTF!?!? Err

Ha! "Their lives again. Their lives will pull us through."

All-time classic. Still as relevant today as when it was made

Definitely agree with you 1000% with your comment. Great house classic track and still love it for 2016:)

MK's Dub of Doom is an example of how one can "own" a tune by making a remix of it. This is the version that will always be referred to when mentioning "Push the feeling on" by the Nightcrawlers. All subsequent versions were based on MK's version and not the original. One would even forget that there actually WAS an original version with a mid-tempo arrangement!I remember the MK Dub of Doom being used as a tune on Dutch radio stations to explain what house music was all about. In 1992, when most people were referring to house music, they meant either 2 Unlimited (and their derivatives) or the Gabber sound from Rotterdam. That was what they knew from the charts. In 1995, the tune charted with us in an "MK Revisited Mix" that had a bit more vocals than the original dub. Somehow, the tune fitted better than in 1992. Our nation got more interested in American club tunes, probably after Erick Morillo scored massive with his Reel 2 Real singles and also provided sounds to MTV comedy characters Zig & Zag ("Them Girls, Them Girls"); at the same time, the Bucketheads "The Bomb!" was also a hit and several tracks from the Strictly Rhythm label landed on well-selling compilations...

I must say, the original mix of this tune is quite underrated early-90s house. That Frankie Knuckles-esque piano going on is solid, I dig this tune. The MK dub is quite good as well, but the original gets no love.

I concur, some days I prefer the chill vibe of the original. I also like to hear the original vocal line that was flipped for the Dub of DooM.

The Dub of Doom mix made Mark Kinchen famous all over the world. If you listen to the original track of the Nightcrawlers, back in 1992, and the remix that he delievered for them. It is nothing else but stunning. Mark Kinchen, Kerri Chandler,Todd Terry,Blaze,Larry Heard and the Masters at Work seemed to be topping each others work at the period of time. It was a very special period in House music, because all those producers were series about making brilliant grooves and remixes. It was very difficult to keep up with them all. However, the dub of doom mix presented on The Nightcrawlers - Push he feeling on.. Put the whole movement of House music across the world, back on the map. That is how important that remix was to House music....

Many people forget that this was released in 1992 and was an underground classic before it's commercial release in 1994, with that dreadful enhanced vocal. The Dub of Doom mix by MK is a lovely little funky deep house number and very groovy.
