In about 1963, six teenage boys from the Goldsboro area formed a band, The Fabulous Spectaculars. They recorded a 45 rpm record at Fredericks music store on East Walnut Street. One side of the record was "Take My Love" by Bill Stroud, and the other side was " by Denny Sutton. Denny was the band leader, and the band members were well mannered and good musicians. They always drew a crowd when they played near Goldsboro, and were especially popular at the Teen Club on the Air Force Base.
