Little Earthquakes is the debut solo album of singer-songwriter Tori Amos, featuring the singles "Silent All These Years", "China", "Winter" and "Crucify". The album was first released in the UK on January 6, 1992.

Little Earthquakes is the twelfth and final track off of Tori Amos' 1991 album of the same name. Coming out of a lot of miscommunication with friends and family and extensions of all that, where I think in everybody’s life, sometimes, you don’t know how you got there. You don’t know how the meltdown happened within a group of people; lots of finger-pointing and I couldn’t cope. And it wasn’t my family this time. These days, sometimes friends are family, and it was a group of us, and I needed to pull back

TORI AMOS Little Earthquakes (1992 German pressed UK & European issue 12-track CD album including Crucify Silent All These Years Winter & China comes with the picture, lyric booklet). Emotionally and musically intense, Little Earthquakes shows that the piano is as much a rock & roll instrument as the guitar. Tori Amos's debut (if one disregards Y Kant Tori Read, as one would be well advised to do) is at once listenable and challenging; she takes on every topic, from sex to gender to religion, in an uncompromising manner. This is Tori's debut album (if you disregard her album Y KANT TORI READ, as she would probably prefer you to do). Now, 15 years on from the original date of LITTLE EARTHQUAKES, Tori has a devoted fan base and this album sounds just as good now as I am sure it did then. The album opens with one of her most well known songs, "Crucify".

Little Earthquakes is the debut solo album of singer-songwriter Tori Amos, featuring the singles Silent All These Years, China, Winter and Crucify.

With her haunting solo debut Little Earthquakes, Tori Amos carved the template for the female singer/songwriter movement of the '90s. Amos' delicate, prog rock piano work and confessional, poetically quirky lyrics invited close emotional connection, giving her a fanatical cult following and setting the stage for the Lilith Fair legions. But Little Earthquakes is no mere style-setter or feminine stereotype - its intimacy is uncompromising, intense, and often far from comforting

Tori Amos is a great songwriter and the intensity in this album make sometimes hard to "enjoy" it enough. You have to have the mood, but that's not a bad thing. Sure I've enjoy it many times.

This record won't sound any better on a single LP. With 57 minutes of music spread across 2 sides, don't expect too much.

I can't say that my copy sounds amazing. Good, sure, but there's something missing...a presence. Depth? Clarity? Perhaps I'm just used to the balance on CD. Running a debut carbon with ortofon red, so it's not a trash table. **Edit** it's probably sibilance from the cartridge or poor mixing of Tori's hissy highs. The art and artist is, of course, unapproachably good.

A half-speed master pressed at RTI, and it sounds amazing. New notes include Tori's reflections on the album. Judging by the image quality of the artwork, the original art no longer exists, or at least was not properly scaled to the larger vinyl format. That said, the jacket is tip-on with a silk finish. Very nice.

It really doesn’t sound amazing, there sure is a lot of hyperbole on here sometimes.

Turn the volume up really loud on side two especially from Me and a Gun into Little Earthquakes especially and you can hear some flaws but, other than that it sounds really good. The packaging could have been done better and to put the U.S. version in a poly bag made it look really cheap and tacky in my opinion.
