Swing and Dance with Frank Sinatra is the sixth studio album by Frank Sinatra. The tracks were arranged and conducted by George Siravo and his orchestra (except for track four, which was conducted by Hugo Winterhalter). Original Columbia 10-inch 33 1/3-rpm LP and 78-rpm album set released October 16, 1950; the 7-inch 45-rpm EP and EP box sets were released in October 1952. See Gramophone record for an explanation of these formats.
Sing and Dance with Sinatra (as it was originally called) was an incredibly important album by the singer on several counts. The original release was the singing legend's first original LP, but not his debut album - that honor belongs to The Voice of Frank Sinatra, issued in 1945 as a set of 78-rpm LPs in a genuine "album" format (like a photo album), but Sing and Dance with Sinatra marked his first opportunity to work in the 33. 1/3-rpm medium, in modern high-fidelity, and cut an entire body of work in a then-new format that he would later thoroughly dominate

Lover - 2:42 - (Hart, Rodgers).
Frank Sinatra was famous as a crooner of ballads when in 1950 he recorded a collection of up-tempo swing tunes for Columbia Records, released as an eight-song EP called Sing and Dance With Frank Sinatra. Had his career ended then and there, it’s likely this album would have been forgotten. Only Sinatra’s career didn’t end there. Three years later, he switched labels, switched from balladeer to swinger, and his career took flight once more, higher than before
