The album released only two singles: "Boogie Fever" reaching number one in the . on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Soul Singles charts as well as reaching number one in Canada on the RPM national singles chart in 1976.

Concept is the ninth album by the Los Angeles, California-based R&B group the Sylvers. Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida is a 1999 concept album that contains songs from, but predates the main production of, the 2000 musical Aida. Released in October 1981, This would be their only album for SOLAR Records label. It also reunited them with older brother and former member Leon Sylvers III as he was working for SOLAR at the time. Concept was the Sylvers' most commercially successful album release, peaking at on the Billboard 200 and topping the R&B Albums chart, both career highs.
