The Florida Razors were a Canadian rock band that formed in 1981. Members were lead singer and guitarist Tom Wilson, bassist Carl Keesee, guitarist Jason Avery, and drummer Greg Cannon. During the group's six-year lifespan it recorded a few singles, one EP, and one album. In 1985, working under the Razor Records label, the debut EP, Half a Rock 'N' Roll Record, was completed. It was followed a year later by the full-length album, Beat Music. By 1987 the members had given up on success and moved on to other projects; some sticking with music, others trying different careers.

Thomas Cunningham "Tom" Wilson (born 1959) is a Canadian rock musician from Hamilton, Ontario. A veteran of the Canadian music scene, Wilson has been a writer and performer for many years. Wilson's eclectic musical style has ranged from the psychobilly, R&B sounds of the Florida Razors, to the western/roots style of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and the funk/blues inspired rock of Junkhouse.

Tom Wilson (record producer). Seizing on local radio interest in the song in Florida and inspired by the huge success of the Byrds' folk-rock version of Dylan's "Mr Tambourine Man", Wilson took the duo's original acoustic track and, without Simon's or Garfunkel's knowledge, overdubbed electric instruments, turning the track into a pop hit, helping to launch the folk-rock genre. Wilson co-produced the Soft Machine's eponymous first album with Chas Chandler in 1968.
