Lock Up was joined by Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy) for its debut album, 1999's Pleasures Pave Sewers, and Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates, Disfear) for 2002's Hate Breeds Suffering and a Japanese tour. The band was later joined by guitarist Anton Reisenegger (Chile's Pentagram and Criminal) in place of the late Pintado. Lock Up have played very few live shows. In 2009, the band announced that they would play the Damnation Festival that year. The line-up featured Embury, Barker, Lindberg and Reisenegger.

Hate Breeds Suffering, 2002. Retrogression, 01:45. Ok, apart from this thing that I wanted to say, this album fucking awesome!! Tracks like the opener Feeding On The Opiate or Detestation show no mercy: pure brutality has been unleashed through pure old style grind music. All the tracks are fast and heavy as hell. Violent Reprisal is awesome in his continue mix of hardcore up tempo and furious blast beats. Retrogression is a kick in the teeth. The drums are incredibly fast in this album, even more than in their previous one. The production is clean, but always with a foot in the past, looking at the beginning of this genre.
