Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" is a nonsense song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 double album The Beatles (also known as "the White Album"). Following the album's release, the song was issued as a single in many countries, although not in Britain or America, and topped singles charts in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland and West Germany.
Song title 481 - Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. 1969 Germany 26 - Feb 1969 (1 month). 8. NZ Listner 19 - Feb 1969 (1 week). UK 20 - Dec 1968 (7 weeks).
Ob-la-di ob-la-da' means exactly the words after it mean. It means "Life goes on" in Nigerian. And that is the exact meaning of the song. It is not a drug of any sort. If you say the word "Sing" out loud right before the last sentence of the song you'll hear paul say "Sing Ob-la-di ob-la-da", and if you say "Take" outloud before the last sentence you'll hear 'take'. It's very interesting but true. I didn't listen to "Ob-La-Di" and think "Gee, let me hear that one again!", but I didn't automatically label it as pure crap either. it stands well with and inside The White Album.
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da is the fourth track on the Beatles' ninth studio album, The Beatles (more well known as the The White Album). The song reached N. in the Australian, Austrian and Swiss charts. It also separately received N. and N. in the Japanese Oricon singles and international charts. That same year, The Marmalade had a cover single that reached no. 1 in the UK single charts.
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da is a song by the Beatles from their 1968 album The Beatles (often called the White Album ). It was released as a single that same year in many countries, but not in their native United Kingdom, nor in the United States until 1976. Paul McCartney wrote the song around the time that highlife and reggae were beginning to become popular in Britain
