Flying Saucer Attack is the debut studio album by English band Flying Saucer Attack. It was released through the band's own FSA Records label in 1993, and by VHF Records in the United States in 1994. Pearce himself described the style of the album as "rural psychedelia" (which was also an alternate title for the album).
Flying Saucer Attack is an English experimental space rock band formed in Bristol in 1992 and led by songwriter David Pearce. Rachel Brook (now Rachel Coe) of Movietone was a member during the band's early incarnation; other musicians contributing to the group's recordings and life performances included Rocker (ex-the Flatmates), Matt Elliott (aka the Third Eye Foundation) and Sam Jones (of Crescent).
Flying Saucer Attack is an English experimental space rock band that formed in Bristol, England in 1992 . The first album (self-titled, but sometimes called Rural Psychedelia as those words appear on the cover) included a noisy cover of Suede's contemporary single "The Drowners", which provoked press interest in the record. The Third Eye Foundation (Matt Elliott) played bongos, drums, programming and clarinet, & guitar on some tracks.

Flying Saucer Attack. Profilo: Experimental space rock band that formed in Bristol, England in 1992.
This partially encapsulates Flying Saucer Attack’s music. Formed in Bristol in 1992 by David Pearce, he recruited Rachel Brook, a member of Bristol-based Movietone, who was a member during most of the band’s lifetime. Most of their recordings were made at home, utilising a home stereo, giving their music a raw aesthetic while also avoiding expensive studio costs. 1995 saw the release of Flying Saucer Attack's second album 'proper', Further. It slides straight into experimental territory with layered feedback during "Rainstorm Blues"; however, it's not the kind of track that you'd want to be listening to in your headphones late at night as you're attempting to fall asleep as it's likely to promote nightmares! The album trades progressively on sounds and moves us almost completely away from shoegaze, which in 1995 was pretty much a scene imploding following a surge of interest in American grunge music.
