Walter "Li'l Wally" Jagiello AKA Władysław Jagiełło, Mały Władziu and Mały Władzio (August 1, 1930 – August 17, 2006) was an American polka musician and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. A self-taught Chemnitzer concertina and drum player, who sang Polish as well as English in many of his songs. His most famous compositions include "Puka Jasiu (Johnny's Knocking)" and "I Wish I Was Single Again"

WALLY is a strange band, they started playing some sort of Symphonic Country, which wouldn't be strange "per se" if they were from USA, but this guys were British and their debut album was produces by Rick Wakeman, so it's kind of unusual. I like that kind of music alot but not when mixed like this, with british folk and symphonic prog. And to be frank, the material on this disc is not really much to gossip about. In "The martyr" Wally makes a bold-ish statement and in that lies their legacy as far as this album goes. The album is well played and well produced but that is it. Sorry Wally.

During the '60s, Li'l Wally appeared three times on The Lawrence Welk Show. By the end of the decade, he and his wife had relocated to Miami, where Wally bought a recording studio. In 1969, he and Frankie Yankovic were selected as the two charter members of the Polka Hall of Fame. The following year, he opened a polka bar in Miami, which stayed in business for the next six years but was eventually forced to close due to the city's much smaller Polish contingent
