Band Name Obscura (GER-1). Дата релиза 29 Март 2011. Лейблы Relapse Records. Obscura pull this off PERFECTLY by jumping into a gothic-sounding melodic death part that only further sucks you into the 55 minute tech death ecstasy known as Omnivium. There is also a part of the song that has acoustic background guitars that are led by the sweet smooth sound of Jeroen’s fretless bass. The musician that improved the most during the writing process of this album would definitely be the vocalist. His sandpaper-rough screams pierce the wind with the precision of a lazar.

This album is based on 'On Nature's Connection to the Spirit World' by Friedrich Schelling. Tommy Talamanca of Sadist appears courtesy of Nadir Music. Morean of Dark Fortress appears courtesy of Century Media Records. OMNIVIUM was recorded, mixed, & mastered between June and October 2010 in Landshut, Germany.

Listen free to Obscura – Omnivium (Septuagint, Vortex Omnivium and more). Omnivium is the third studio album released by German death metal band Obscura and the second album of Obscura's four album concept. The album was recorded at Woodshed Studio in southern, Germany with engineer Victor Bullok (also known as . antura). It was released by Relapse Records on 29 March 2011. The album is based on Friedrich Schelling's "On Nature's Connection to the Spirit World". Obscura released the track "Septuagint" to the public on 19 January 2011.

Back during Retribution and even on Cosmogenesis, Obscura’s bass heavy sound and progressive songwriting had a very unique feeling to them, and in a sense still do. However, today we have Omnivium and Obscura seems to have done little more than slowly refine their songwriting into a more and more proficient level of odd but well-sculpted technical death metal.

Omnivium is a music studio album recording by OBSCURA (Tech/Extreme Prog Metal/Progressive Rock) released in 2011 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. 1. Septuagint (7:18) 2. Vortex Omnivium (4:14) 3. Ocean Gateways (5:56) 4. Euclidean Elements (4:51) 5. Prismal Dawn (6:20) 6. Celestial Spheres (5:28) 7. Velocity (6:04) 8. A Transcendental Serenade (6:13) 9. Aevum (7:51).

Obscura's 2011 release "Omnivium" is without a doubt one of the best releases from the band and truly showcases why this band, its members, and releases have become staples of the technical death metal world. Obscura is no stranger to technicality as they've showed with their past releases (especially on their 2009 release Cosmogenesis) but they really went for more than sheer technicality with Omnivium. Obscura's lineup for this album is beyond perfect and every single one of the members showcases their abilities perfectly and beautifully throughout the entirety of the album.

Omnivium (2011) by Obscura. Labels: Relapse Records. Genres: Technical Death Metal, Progressive Metal  .

Obscura s highly-anticipated new album, Omnivium, sees the critically acclaimed quartet cementing their place amongst the all time metal elite. Omnivium finds the band pushing the progressive edges of the genre s sounds to new heights while delivering the technical metal that has become their calling card. Omnivium has much better production than its predecessor, Cosmogenesis. It's amazing to me how fast Obscura is maturing and redefining the tech death metal genre . I may as well just name every song, huh?
