The First Choice began singing in high school as the Debonettes. The group consisted of lead singer Rochelle Fleming, Annette Guest and Wardell Piper. At Warner’s they recorded Dance Floor hits like Gotta Get Away From You Baby Ain’t He Bad and the album title song, So Let Us Entertain You In 1977 the trio switched labels again this time recording for their producer Norman Harris' label, Goldmine Records where they got their biggest dance single, the infectious Doctor Love. The single is from the album Delusions that critics regard as the trio's best LP. The next release came in March of 1979 called Hold Your Horses.

The Osmonds covered the song on their 1970 album, Osmonds, as well as on the B-side of their chart-topper "One Bad Apple". The song is a staple at their concerts. Olivia Newton-John included the song on her 1975 album Clearly Love, and it was released as the B-side of the single "Let It Shine" in January 1976. The single went to number one on the US Easy Listening (adult contemporary) chart and number thirty on the Billboard Hot 100. youtube. He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother Osmonds.

The song was on a Kelly Gordon album called Defunked. The version was slow and soulful and had Joe Cocker written all over it. Joe turned it down, to his producer's surprise. My Aunt used the the title, "He ain't heavy he's my brother". My Dad was the oldest son and his Dad left the family. So my Dad stepped up and became their protector/ provider. I first heard it went it was released by the Hollies in 1969. I was a freshman in college and one of the fraternity's song was "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother. I thought then it was such an appropriate song for them. Later in 1972, an African-American singer named Donnie Hathawy released it.

In 2016, He obtained his BFA in Studio Art with a Photography emphasis from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Gabrielle Hall-Lomax. Gabrielle Hall-Lomax is a visual artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. So much in fact that we published his first monograph, Corrections, in December of 2015. In 2011, I spent the summer in New York interning for Emiliano Granado.
