Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (/ˈhʌbərd/ HUB-ərd; March 13, 1911 – January 24, 1986) was an American author of science fiction and fantasy stories, and the founder of the Church of Scientology. In 1952, Hubbard lost the rights to Dianetics in bankruptcy proceedings, and he subsequently founded Scientology.

Ron Hubbard correspondence and journals. True, what is presented here represents but a fraction of the material from which the Ron Series is distilled. Indeed, beneath the Ron Series proper and the L. Ron Hubbard biography stand more than a hundred thousand.

Ron Hubbard changed all that with Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. Its publication in 1950 marks a watershed in the history of Man’s quest for a true understanding of himself. Like Scientology, Dianetics rests on basic principles, easily learned, clearly demonstrated as true and every bit as valid today as when they were first released in 1950. Dianetics: Understanding the Mind.
