The Winter Music Conference (WMC) is a week-long electronic music conference, held every March in Miami Beach, Florida, United States since 1985. It is also known as the premiere platform for electronic dance music. The conference brings together professionals such as artists, DJs, record label representatives (A&R), producers, promoters, radio and the media for seminars and panel discussions. Thousands of attendees attend the WMC each year from around the world.

Winter Music Conference is my ground zero. It has always provided the perfect storm of opportunity and excitement for up and coming artists, including myself back in 2003, where I first caught a glimpse of how it felt to have an audience respond to my work. Before there was Ultra Music Festival, there was The Winter Music Conference, the annual coming together of the dance music tribes. Miami in March is a fundamental place to be from a business perspective, and has always given me endless opportunities for discovering new partnerships and talent. WMC brings together the dance music industry and surrounding culture like no other event in America.

Samuel Lawrence currently has over twenty releases on numerous labels, and he also has a featured artist page on beatport. Lawrence’s tracks receive spins from top jocks and appeared on countless mix cds. Recently two of his productions were featured on Terry Lee Brown Jr. and the Timewriter’s Club FM Mix CD. Samuel has done remixes, and been remixed by many artists including Jay West, Harold Heath, Pete Moss and Natural Rhythm just to name a few. In 2004, Mimosa Recordings was formed; and today is headed by Samuel. Mimosa has become a standard in dance music throughout.
