My Company of Corpses Lyrics. Two fallen comrades Two comrades gone My company of corpses My whole life long There the munich on my lips And new arrivals Their full eclipse. Two fallen comrades Two comrades gone My company of corpses My whole life long This great column These friends of mine A bouquet of virgins The lack of time The lack of time The lack of time These friends of mine. I've been looking Through this list of late Some memories not so good Some great Great moments in our hearts Never return The memory lingers Shrivels, then turns.

Mr Pearce's singing is getting worse with every record. On this album, he apparently fails to sing/speak low notes properly here and there. The key of some songs is a tad lower than he can manage. Since Mr Pearce is an admirer of Scott Walker and Richard Hawley, I wish he practised singing, at least for studio recordings. A little practice would certainly do justice to his great, meaty, saturated voice. As for the packaging, like with The Rule of the Thirds, I personally hate there is no plastic tray to house the cd. As a result, the side bar (with "DEATH IN JUNE PEACEFUL SNOW BAD VCCD54" on it) tends to crack and fold in the middle. I can't see the title of the cd when it's in my cd-shelf. Terrible.

When i bought the 7" issued by Extremo occidente liked the carefulness applied to the composition of the two tracks included. Self titled "Peaceful snow" was not just beautiful but definitively sincere, it showed also maturity and adaptation. A sound more close to the band for his current transition in time & a lyrical component very well articulated that expressed something else more related with intimate reflections than well visited (and revisited) winding paths from obscure cryptology. With that anticipation we may have concluded that the following full length would be simply great. First of all we may say "Peaceful snow" has a winter like character that probably depicts a new stage in the bands profile, a change and the perspective of a band (and an author) now in his own existential winter. The tranquility expressed in the melodies seems to be correlated with a security of a Will well accomplished and now decanted expecting the obvious law from entropy. Regarding the music we may say the piano is played precisely and consistently but there is a moment when the melodies become sort of short to express the tonalities of certain tracks and fall into some sort of monochrome play that gets really short from becoming elevator music. This aspect is specially audible after on second half of the album and in many of the "remakes" on the second CD. Probably one of the things that accentuates the monochromatic melodrama is the fact that Pearce's voice has never been able to be much expressive and the pianist even though technically good equals the simplicity from the voice rank, therefore theres no contrast at all. So in the end we find theres some tracks that are well made but the best are definitively the ones included in the 7" and those had even a better mix. They bring a palette of different shades of winter colors while the others oscillate between the peaceful white and gelid mist.

Something different & same old Douglas P.Touching your soul with few chords, simple melodies and bringing your heart far above the ground you're standing on.I don't know how he does it, but he always does!
