Change is the fifth studio album by British girl group Sugababes, released through Island Records on 1 October 2007. The album features production by Dr. Luke, Jony Rockstar, Dallas Austin, Deekay and Xenomania, among others, and is the first album to feature complete vocals by Amelle Berrabah.

Change (Sugababes album). AXM Magazine reported the Sugababes' assumed attempt to move into the American market with the album. On 30 August 2007, the group appeared on The Album Chart Show to perform the first single, "About You Now", and premiere another two album cuts. They also confirmed that the album's title would be Change. The album leaked in its entirety, excluding the UK bonus track "3 Spoons of Suga", on 4 October. A day later, the bonus track was also leaked.

Well, having hit the top of the singles chart with "About You Now," the Sugababes unleashed their sixth album, Change, which was the first to feature new member Amelle Berrabah after Mutya Buena departed to pursue a solo career, leaving Keisha Buchanan as the only original remaining member of the group. The omens were not looking great. Change was the first release after the career summary Overloaded: The Singles Collection, and the most recent single, "Follow Me Home," had become their lowest-charting single to date. The Sugababes needn't have worried, however.

But elsewhere, things are fraying dangerously: the colourless title ballad is leaden rather than soulful, "My Love Is Pink" is a euphemism too far, and there's a disjunction in "About You Now" between the smooth pop sheen and the itchy, scratchy drumming. There are some positives: the infectious reggae-tinged soul created by Alonzo Stevenson for "Back Down", and the slouchy groove by Dr Luke that powers "Open the Door" – even if the latter does hark back 17 years to "Dub Be Good to Me".

The Sugababes were a British girl group formed in 1998 by Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. Their debut album, One Touch, was released in the UK through London Records on 27 November 2000. The album achieved moderate success, peaking at number 26 in April 2001 and eventually being certified Gold. In 2001, Donaghy departed the group amid rumours of a rift with Buchanan and the group were dropped by their record label.
