I am thinking of the rapture in our blessed home on high When the redeemed are gathering in How we'll raise the heav'nly anthem in that city in the sky When the redeemed are gathering in. When the redeemed are gathering in Washed like snow and free from all sin How we will shout and how we will sing When the redeemed are gathering in. Saints will sing redemption's story with their voices clear and strong Find more lyrics at ※ Mojim

The Sayings of Jesus on the cross (sometimes called the Seven Last Words from the Cross) are seven expressions biblically attributed to Jesus during his crucifixion. Traditionally, the brief sayings have been called "words". They are gathered from the four Canonical Gospels. Three of the sayings appear only in the Gospel of Luke and three only in the Gospel of John. The other saying appears both in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Mark

Abolitionist John Brown leads a small group on a raid against a federal armory in Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now West Virginia), in an attempt to start an armed. In 1837, his life changed irrevocably when he attended an abolition meeting in Cleveland, during which he was so moved that he publicly announced his dedication to destroying the institution of slavery. As early as 1848 he was formulating a plan to incite an insurrection. In the 1850s, Brown traveled to Kansas with five of his sons to fight against the proslavery forces in the contest over that territory. On May 21, 1856, proslavery men raided the abolitionist town of Lawrence, and Brown personally sought revenge.

Christ Jesus died on the Cross to redeem mankind, to save us from our sins because of his love for us. As recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ was mocked, scorned, and tortured in the praetorium. He carried his cross up the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem to Calvary, was nailed to the Cross, and hung between two common criminals. He suffered an indescribable end, recalled by the Church on Good Friday of Holy Week.

Where were these imprisoned spirits to whom Jesus spoke between His death and resurrection? Nowhere in the Bible are we told that Jesus visited hell. The New American Standard Bible says that Jesus went to Hades (Acts 2:31), but Hades is not hell. This could refer to an event not elsewhere described in Scripture, namely, that Jesus gathered all the redeemed who were in paradise and took them to their permanent dwelling in heaven. That is, after securing their salvation on the cross, Jesus brought Abraham, David, Joshua, Daniel, the beggar Lazarus, the thief on the cross, and everyone else who had previously been justified by faith, and led them from Hades to their new spiritual home.

She objected that this was not a place for a woman and so on, but Walter went on with you could be of the greatest use; you could cheer and comfort me. Of course the real reasons were different ones. 6,13 In what way was Kitty’s love affair predetermined by her upbringing? From the age of 20 Kitty’s mother put her efforts to make Kitty marry the person from the higher society, but Kitty didn’t manage to do so until 25. Occasionally, her younger sister was due to marry in autumn and all these events made Kitty to marry Walter, who made a proposal to her. He was never in love with him, but was afraid to remain an old virgin and, hence, had to accept the proposal.
