His third album, In The Crossing, sees Scottish producer Ewan Mackenzie aka Dextro further broaden his musical horizon. A decade on from his debut Consequence Music on Grönland Records, Mackenzie holds his ground, combining live instrumentation with field recordings to shape his idiosyncratic mix of ambient, electronic and post-rock.
Scottish electronic producer Ewan Mackenzie returns to 16k Records under his Dextro moniker to present In The Crossing, his new full length release. These early works were often compared to the countrymen Boards of Canada, recalling geographical aspects and that sense of melancholy and bucolic life of In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country (Warp, 2000).
