Remaster of 1981 compilation album B9 featuring cold wave music from Belgium. Until late 1979, Belgian popular culture had limited impact on the wider world. True, back in 1963 the Singing Nun topped the American singles chart with Dominique, and 14 years later Plastic Bertrand scored a worldwide hit with an energetic slice of parody punk, Ca Plane pour Moi. However, both were essentially novelty records: some claimed (falsely) that Bertrand hadn't even sung on his own hit, while the troubled career of Sister Luc Gabriel would end in tax wrangles and a suicide pact.
