74 Jailbreak is an EP by Australian rock band AC/DC, comprising five tracks that had previously been released only in Australia. It was released in 1984 only in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Israel, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, the USA, Uruguay and Venezuela. The song "Jailbreak" was also released as a single and a video. The EP was reissued worldwide in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series.
The 1984 release, ’74 Jailbreak, by AC/DC is often labeled as a full album. Personally I think it’s more of a sort of compilation EP. The tracks all were released before in Australia but never put on an international release. Most of the time these kind of releases are a bit redundant and only interesting for the die hard fans. But with ’74 Jailbreak that’s not the case. Because the tracks on this release were not released internationally before, it gives the feeling that they are new tracks. And the fact that Bon Scott is the singer on these tracks is great.
