John Macey biography John MACEY was a little known guitarist active in the 80's. He released his studio album in 1981 on which he worked with jazz musicians like Hiram BULLOCK and developed a sound on LP that can be described as funk influenced and guitar driven energetic fusion. The last record he made was an EP produced and released by MACEY himself in 1987 which featured original compositions as well as a cover of a John COLTRANE's song. Before passing away, MACEY spent his life not only as a musician but also as an inspiring guitar teacher in New Jersey.
