This is the discography of the British rock band Status Quo. They have released around 100 singles and have spent over 400 weeks in the UK Singles Chart - longer than The Beatles. They are one of the most successful bands of all time in the UK. Their most recent album, Aquostic II – That's a Fact!, was released in 2016. Quo is the seventh studio album by Status Quo. Issued in May 1974, it features Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan, and reached in the UK. Like its predecessor Hello!, it consisted entirely of songs written or cowritten by the group. The only guest musicians were Bob Young and Tom Parker, who played harmonica and piano respectively on "Break the Rules".

When Status Quo decided to record a live album in 1976, their next decision was a no-brainer. As Rick Parfitt says: It was very simple. If you’re going to have an audience on an album have a Glaswegian audience. And so, in the autumn of 1976, Quo arrived in Glasgow with the Rolling Stones’ Mobile Studio in tow. For the recording of the bluntly titled Live! album, the band played three shows, on October 27, 28 and 29, at the famous old Apollo theatre.

Down Down" is the perfect Status Quo record, and the fact that it doesn't arrive until six songs into the band's eighth album just proves how much fun it had coming up with it. On the Level is Quo at its single-minded best.
