John Weider (born 21 April 1947 in Shepherd's Bush, London) is an English rock musician who plays guitar, bass, and violin. He is best known as the guitarist for Eric Burdon & the Animals from 1966 to 1968. He was also the bass player for Family from 1969 to 1971. John Weider is Jewish. As a teenager, Weider initially joined the Steve Laine Combo.

John Weider, a former member of the legendary '60s rock group The Animals, is an accomplished guitarist capable of playing in a variety of stylistic settings. The ambitious "Chain Reaction Now" is at the center of the album, going back and forth between wailing electric guitar and pastoral synth and harp. This is followed by a trio of mainly acoustic tunes, with "Aliso" decked out with a quasi-Spanish trumpet and a shuffling marimba break. On Ancients Weep John Weider draws on folk, jazz, blues, classical and rock sources to once again demonstrate his wide-ranging skills as a guitar stylist. Backroads Music/Heartbeats, Rovi.
