The Best of The Stylistics is a compilation album released by the American soul group The Stylistics. Released in 1975, the album became a big success in the UK when it reached N. Hitting the pinnacle three times during the year, the album remained at N. for 9 weeks in total. Helped largely by TV advertising, it became the biggest album of the group's career and the UK's top seller of 1975. It also reached N. 1 in the US - although their popularity was beginning to decline there.
Complete your The Stylistics collection. Whilst I like HFO it was switched to boost sales of the USA "Heavy" album (UK Title From The Mountain). Stop Look Listen was/is a very important Philly track and if a track had to go then IMO "You're A Big Girl Now" although their first USA Avco-Embassy single would have been much less of loss than SLL. A budget compilation from the . s Spectrum label, The Very Best of the Stylistics looks somewhat suspect, like it might be a set of shoddy re-recordings, but it does contain the original studio versions. It includes the Top Ten . R&B singles "Betcha by Golly, Wow," "You Make Me Feel Brand New," "Break Up to Make Up," "People Make the World Go Round," "Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart)," and "You'll Never Get to Heaven (If You Break My Heart)," as well as 14 other highlights from the group's.
