Ginette Reno, OC CQ (born 28 April 1946) is a Québécois author, composer, singer, and actress. She has received nominations for the Genie and Gemini Awards and is a multi-recipient of the Juno Award. She is a gold and platinum selling Canadian musician. Born Ginette Raynault in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she began singing in 1960 and won the talent contest "Les Découvertes de Jean Simon" (Jean Simon's Discoveries).

Soon after, ends Ginette Reno's association with Jean Simon. At the Olympia in Paris, She takes part with other Quebec Artists in the shows "Vive le Québec" in 1967 and "Musicorama" in 1968. At the end of 1967, she, husband Bob Watier and Manager Gilles Talbot founded the Grand Prix record company. The following year is particularly remarkable for the singer. In 1978 she sings on American TV Appearing on the "Dinah Shore Show" and "Merv Griffin Show" and gives a series of shows in Las Vegas with Don Rickles. Born Ginette Raynault in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she began singing in 1960 and won the talent contest "Les Découvertes de Jean Simon" (Jean Simon's Discoveries). With this success, three clubs in Montreal (Café Caprice, le Café de l'Est and the Café Provincial) offered Reno her first professional contract. She was awarded a 1972 Juno and a 1973 Juno in the category Outstanding Performance of the Year - Female. Reno was nominated for a Juno in 1998 in the category Best Selling Francophone Album for her album Versions Reno.
