Who Do You Trust? is the tenth studio album by American rock band Papa Roach. It was released on January 18, 2019, through Eleven Seven Music. It features 12 tracks, including the lead singles "Renegade Music" and "Who Do You Trust?" The album was announced along with the release of the track "Not the Only One"
Alongside some of the usual new flashes, Who Do You Trust? also takes a few mightily deep dips into every era of the band’s past. However, they don’t always manage to get the balance quite right. It starts on an absolute roll, with The Ending beginning on an ambient feint before wrapping a shimmering synth around a typically compact and utterly inescapable hook. Renegade Music is even better, as it channels the spirit of Rage Against The Machine through a spring-heeled riff and a spat out ‘Motherfucker’. Papa Roach’s 10th album, then, is neither the unexpected triumph or dated nu-metal fail you might expect. There’s plenty of killer, but it’s held back by an equal amount of filler. The live shows have got some new classics in waiting, but the album as a whole doesn’t quite meet past heights. Verdict: KKK Words: Paul Travers. Posted on January 18th 2019, 3:00pm.
Similarly, Shaddix, who is never afraid to shred his vocal chords, takes a more measured approach, moving from intense rap sections to smooth singing on "Elevate," and offers an emotive croon on the heartfelt "Come Around. Elsewhere, the band dive headlong into the passionate and hooky, emo-sounding anthem "Feel Like Home," and draw upon their hardcore punk roots on the driving "I Suffer Well. Following their Mercury-prize nominated debut album, The Comet is Coming further the narrative of an imagined apocalypse, told almost entirely through electronica jazz, funk, and psychedelic rock.

Who Do You Trust?, the follow up to last year's Crooked Teeth, finds a balance between pop and rock, veering away from the band's more traditional alt-rock sound and exploring a wide-range of influences. Opening with what's referred to as the beginning of the end, "The Ending," Papa Roach transcends through various genres and themes in the album's 12 tracks. Our goal for our tenth album was to push ourselves even further into genres that inspire us most," bassist Tobin Esperance said.
PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix spoke to Canada's Global News about the musical direction and lyrical content of the band's upcoming 10th studio album, "Who Do You Trust?". There's a feeling of nostalgia, but also future fucking P. ROACH," he said. Lyrically, it's the story of the general struggle and how you find peace within these necessary human feelings. Things that we all live at one point in our lives. They unite us. It's like this odd juxtaposition of maturity and adolescence. I feel that the dichotomy of the record keeps it fresh.
Who Do You Trust" starts of with the ever so cleverly titled The End, which is meant to serve as a both an anthem and a rising tension track in which Shaddix declares This is the start of the ending and how he’s watching all the moves you make and counting all of your mistakes ; however, the song climaxes much to early. leaving a strained Shaddix to stagnate for the rest of run time. And Who Do You Trust" is simply no exception. While the band has toyed with the idea of political leanings in the past, here the lyrics are simply so vague that they fail to make any real impression at all; to make matters worse, the aggressive, vaguely political themes are abandoned less than halfway through the album. Which ironically sparks the question whether or not Shaddix and company should be trusted either.
