Body Count is the eponymous debut studio album by American crossover thrash band Body Count, released on March 31, 1992 by Sire Records. The album's material focuses on various social and political issues ranging from police brutality to drug abuse. It also presents a turning point in the career of Ice-T, who co-wrote the album's songs with lead guitarist Ernie C and performed as the band's lead singer.
Body Count are coming back for more: after a 2014 reactivation that saw the LA metal act release their first album since 2006, Ice T is proving that he’s serious about keeping the band active with a follow-up in 2017. Earlier this year Body Count announced they were recording a new album, and celebrated by posting a live cover of Slayer’s Reigning Blood that had the metalwebs all achatter. And now Ice T’s posted a clip from the video shoot for a new song called No Lives Matter, the subject of which you can closely guess from the title alone
