Stephen Eric Pearcy (born July 3, 1956) is an American musician. He is best known as the founder, singer, and songwriter of the heavy metal band Ratt. He has also created the bands Firedome, Crystal Pystal, Mickey Ratt and Ratt Arcade, Vicious Delite, Vertex. He has also recorded five records as a solo artist. Pearcy has also worked as an actor, playing the killer hippie, Timothy Bach, in the horror film Camp Utopia.
Canadian folk artist Stephen Fearing has a cachet of cool among those of a certain age. For one, earlier in his career, he famously covered the theme song (actually the traditional tune "Early One Morning") to the long-running and much cherished Canadian children's TV show, The Friendly Giant, which was the sort of thing that brought a tear to the eye of many kids of the '60s, '70s and '80s who grew up watching. So Between Hurricanes, the title, offers a glimmer of past and looming turmoil and upheaval, a sort of a quiet in the eye of a storm. And there's a certain weariness expressed in the lyrics of the album, one that appears to divine inspiration from long hours logged on the open road.

Between Hurricanes was released January 29, 2013, on LowdenProud Records. The album features 10 songs written or co-written by Fearing with a bonus cover of the Gordon Lightfoot song Early Morning Rain In 2017 Fearing released his 10th solo album, Every Soul's a Sailor. The album was preceded by the single "Blowhard Nation", an anti-Trump protest song which was released in September 2016 prior to the controversial United States presidential election.
