He has been active in multiple artistic disciplines: beside cabaret and theatre he is best known for his music. He both writes for others as well as for himself, mostly in Dutch.
The South African leg of Stef Bos’ current smash-hit theatrical tour 'Mooi Waanzinnige Wereld' coincides with the release of his latest Afrikaans album 'Kaalvoet'. The album opens with the song 'Maso', a track he recently recorded with a group of Khoi-San youths in the attic of an old Cape Dutch farmhouse on the West-Coast. Ever since acquiring a Cape Town base in 2008, Stef has been penning an increasing number of compositions inspired by the beauty, complexities and rhythms of South Africa.
