Their debut LP Super Liminal had been carefully guided by OntheCorner having started the journey with a pair of conceptual cassette releases and remixes of a first single by Jose Marquez and DJ Khalab in 2016. Super Liminal was tipped as one of the LPs of early 2018 not to miss. The album sold out and the band were soon taking their club ready percussive electronica to festivals around Europe. A prime slot at Worldwide Festival, Leysin led the band around Europe and the UK with highlight’s including a support slot for Sons of Kemet at the innovative Brainchild Festival. The A-side opens up with a stylish, uniquely individual and layered rework of Cham Bomb by Photay. Super Liminal was tipped as one of the LPs of early 2018 not to miss

Super Liminal Remixed. When it was released back in 2017, Penya's debut album "Super Liminal" was praised for its unique fusion of Afro-Latin elements and contemporary electronics. This EP, where like-minded artists provide their own takes on the London band's 21st century global fusion, is not only appropriate, but also long overdue.

For all digi/hybrid djs out there, the second part of Cham Bomb is an insane percussion workout tool. I've been using 2/3 track mixes with it and the floor goes off! This record goes well with José Manuel and José Márquez, very similar vibes.Top release

Free ticket percussive journey around the Afro Cuban Latin jazz world. World music dance floor weapon. Cables and keyboards are around, impressive vocals as well and all gently balanced with the drums. Fantastic artwork as always. Unique connection of Afrobeat and Cuban music on ‘’Search It Out’’ and ‘’Iyesa’’. Indian influences on ‘’Why So Angry’’ and ''Karachi'' (what could of been) are totally a hybrid of organic techno. Electried ‘’Tribes’’ weirdness is blowing up my mind. And ‘’Iyesa’’ and ‘’Rootless (part 2)’’ can set this LP on record collection next to Will Holland’s ones.
