Candlebox is the debut album by Seattle rock band Candlebox. It contains their best known hit, "Far Behind", as well as the hit singles "Change", "You" and "Cover Me". Released in 1993, the album has since been certified 4 platinum in the United States. The music videos for "Change", "Far Behind" and "You" remained in longstanding rotation on MTV and the latter became two of the most requested videos of 1993, and the former being featured on Beavis and Butt-Head.

Sure, frontman Kevin Martin contends with Eddie Vedder for the most aching warble on angsty power ballads like "Far Behind" and "Cover Me," but the band's most intense moments come when they straight up rock. The opening "Don't You" chugs like early Aerosmith as Peter Klett works his guitar into a searing, squealing frenzy, while "Rain" furiously transforms from a bluesy jam to a wild pop-metal blowout.

Cover Me starts with humble acoustic strumming and gentle singing. Cover me when my stance it stumbles home. You're under me and you question my authority. Candlebox featured the hit singles "Change", "You", "Far Behind", and "Cover Me". "Far Behind" entered Billboard's top 20 in July 1993, peaked at No. 18, and stayed on the charts until January 1994. The tremendous radio, concert, and television success gained them a main-stage slot at Woodstock '94 and put Candlebox at the forefront of the 1990s post-grunge scene  . On July 21, 1998, Candlebox released their third studio album, Happy Pills. While a return to the simpler sound of their debut, it gained only marginal success.
